Ive learned how to add in these elements in InDesign;
-page margins
-columns for text
-how to carry the text on throughout the columns
-how to insert a drop cap
-how to place images
-how to make the image a higher quality format so it doesn't appear blurry
-how to align photos
-how to enlarge photos so they don't become stretched or distorted
